Between colours, as needed

Softens the line between grey and the rest of your hair, usually with fine highlights or lowlights, so regrowth shows less as it grows. We'll recommend the approach and price it at your consultation.

Hair colour FAQ

Before you book colour

The questions we're asked most. Anything else, call us on 0141 339 7344.

Do I need a patch test?

Yes, before any colour service. It's free, takes 10 minutes, and needs to be done at least 48 hours before your colour appointment.

Why 48 hours?

A reaction to hair dye can be delayed, so the test is watched for 48 hours. Any itching, redness or swelling means we won't colour.

How long does a colour appointment take?

Most colour services take about 3 hours, including the blowdry.

Do your prices include a blowdry?

Yes. Every colour price includes a blowdry, and each service also has a price with a cut.

Semi-permanent or permanent colour?

Semi colour adds tone and shine and fades gradually, with a softer regrowth line. A permanent tint covers grey fully but grows out with a visible line.

Highlights or balayage?

Highlights are woven into foils from the root for a brighter, more defined result. Balayage is painted on by hand for a softer grow-out. Not sure which suits you? That's what the consultation is for.

How often will I need my roots done?

A tint usually needs its roots refreshing every 4–6 weeks. Bleach regrowth is priced by how long it's been since your last visit, so booking on time costs less.

What does a toner do?

It takes out brassiness and sets the exact shade after lightening, and fades over a few weeks. You can add one to any colour service.

Can you cover grey hair?

Yes. A tint or root tint gives full coverage. Highlights or grey blending give a softer finish that grows out more gently.

Will bleach damage my hair?

We check your hair's condition first, and a big change may be done over more than one visit.

Can you fix box dye or colour done elsewhere?

Yes. Colour correction is priced after a consultation and may take more than one visit.

How much does hair colour cost?

Every service and option is listed above with its price, including a blowdry. The consultation and patch test are free.
